Jean-Claude Turcotte is a graduate of Université de Montréal and has been part of Loranger Marcoux since its inception in 1991.
He practises in the principal areas of employment law and labour relations at both provincial and federal levels. Jean-Claude represents employers during collective agreement negotiations, and before administrative tribunals specializing in labour law and the civil courts.
He advises management on how to deal with health and safety issues in the workplace, and assists in the design of strategies to respond to the employer’s duty to reasonably accommodate, particularly in disability cases.
He also acts as strategic adviser on human resource management issues during corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions and regularly works with US and Canadian law firms representing clients who conduct business in Quebec.
Jean-Claude regularly speaks on current labour and employment law issues, in particular in collaboration with Les Éditions Yvon Blais Inc.
He also sits and holds a position on the subcommittee of the Conseil du Patronat du Québec in relation to Article 316 of the Act respecting industrial accidents and occupational diseases.
